The Ancient Warrior is definitely an attractive cigar to look at. The wrapper is very dark and feels smooth to the touch. The robusto size gives it a nice weight and feel while you are smoking it and allows for an even burn. What I really enjoyed about this cigar was how easy it was to get a nice full draw with lots of smoke. With each puff of smoke comes a well balanced, smooth flavour with undertones of plum and raisin. This Gurkha also has hints of spice, that are more noticeable during the first part of the smoke, and nut flavours that appear closer to the finish. A lot of cigars tend to get heavier as you near the finish and, if you are like me, can start to make you a little light headed. The Ancient Warrior maintains a balanced strength and flavour throughout the cigar allowing even occasional smokers to enjoy the whole experience without turning green.
